Zsuzsanna Liptak(because so many people spell it this way...) |
Please note: I have moved to the Dept. of Computer Science at the University of Verona, Italy, as assistant professor. Prior to that, I had a Marie Curie IEF individual fellowship with a project on Parikh vectors at the Dept. of Computer Science, University of Salerno. I do not have a personal webpage in Verona yet, so please refer to this one for the time being.
| Research interests: | efficient algorithms in bioinformatics, in particular for problems arising from mass spectrometry applications and EST clustering; weighted string problems, both from the theoretical and the practical viewpoint; string algorithms and combinatorics of strings; Parikh-vectors and their applications in bioinformatics problems; string similarity measures. |
| PhD thesis: | "Strings in Proteomics and Transcriptoms: Algorithmic and Combinatorial Questions in Mass Spectrometry and EST Clustering," defended on July, 11, 2005. (Download PhD thesis or defense slides, both in pdf-format.) |
