 The [[:research|research]] of our group is focused on the development of computational methods for the analysis of genomic and post-genomic data. In this area, we span a broad spectrum of algorithm and software development, from the low level of DNA sequence comparison up to the higher levels of comparative genomics, metagenomics and phylogenetics. \\
 We are also involved in the Service Center BiGi of the German Network for Bioinformatics Infrastructure ([[https://www.denbi.de|de.NBI]]) and in the Bielefeld Institute for Bioinformatics Infrastructure ([[http://bibi.uni-bielefeld.de|BIBI]]).
