Currently, we have a full-time 3-year PhD position offered, starting from September/October 2021. The PhD project makes part of the EU-funded International Training Network "ALPACA" (Algorithms for Pangenome Computational Analysis). ALPACA includes various educational training sessions, workshops and summer schools as well as direct exchange with specializing companies. The project will deal with Measures and algorithms for alignment-free comparative pan-genomics.

Please not that the applicant must not have a PhD or have worked in research for more than four years after graduation. Moreover, applicants may have spent a maximum of 12 months in Germany in the past three years.
