Creating a new CVS module

Go into the directory with the sources you want to import. Type

cvs import -m "imported sources" module vendor start

where “imported sources” is a comment, module is the module name you want to create vendor is the vendor tag (we use “ims” in our workgroup) start is another tag (?), just use “start”

The .cvsrc file

You can use the .cvsrc file in your home directory to set default parameters for some actions. A good starting point is: $HOME/.cvsrc

diff -u -b -B
checkout -P
update -d -P

Modifying the way CVS commit mails are sent

Checkout the module CVSROOT and have a look at loginfo. Change it to your needs and commit the changes.
